Special post

This extra post is to announce an appearance in hopes that some of you  reading this are in Connecticut or thereabouts.  I will be speaking and signing at  on Monday, March 15th at 5:30 in the Johnson Room of the library at Eastern Connecticut State University, 83 Windham Street, Willimantic, CT 06226.  My talk is free and open to the public, and, as a teaser, I'm going to reveal a little-known secret about each of my books!  I would LOVE to see you there! If you come, please be sure to introduce yourself.

  2. I was born in Connecticut but now I'm in Texas. A bit of a commute from Texas, :) otherwise I would love to come. Enjoyed your talk at the Texas book festival a couple of years ago.

    I hope you get a big crowd. Have fun!

  15. I am interested in having my granddaughter from Illinois visit this summer and would love to have her attend one of your writer's workshops. Will you be conducting any in the Brewster area? And, if so, when? You are Katie's favorite author, and I know she would love to attend your workshop. Thank you for any information you can give me.

  18. Mom of 4 crazy kids--I'm so glad you're coming and bringing the kids!
    Pambelina--I'm going to list some writing books in my next post. Excellent timing. I've been reading more poetry than fiction lately, so here are some poets I like. They're for adults, or at least high schoolers: Lisel Mueller (maybe my favorite), Ted Kooser, Billy Collins, Claudia Emerson, Molly Peacock, Kathleen Driskell, Jane Kenyon. Those are just a few. I love poetry.
